About

Bay6 Studios and Gallery was founded in late 2006 by Kevin Kuhn and Sharon Kyle-Kuhn with the goal of providing affordable workspace for artists along with space to periodically exhibit that work.

Our first gallery show, Tricycle, featured the work of resident artists Darvin Jones, Sharon Kyle Kuhn and Caroline Wright.

We had a great turnout and a wildly successful show.  It was at this show that Bay6 Gallery really took on a life of its own when we met artist Susannah Blanton.

Susannah  told us about a series of paintings that she had created and and asked us if we would be interested in taking a look at them.

Seeing her work and hearing the stories behind its creation became the inspiration for "Fresh Hell" Bay6 Gallery's first non resident artist exhibit.

Since that event, Bay6 Gallery has become an  art project in itself .

A morphing assemblage of work and people coming together at random points in time.

We have put in countless unpaid hours, hosted roughly a dozen shows and hung the work of close to one hundred different artists on the walls of Bay6.

We have new shows scheduled monthly all the way into the middle of next year.  We hope you find the time to stop by and visit with us and take a look at some of the fine work created by local Austin artists.
