Stacy Kirk
Stacy Kirk
May 7th through May May29th
Opening Reception Saturday May 7th 7-10PM
Stacy Kirk possessed a vast experience in art training which extended beyond photography to include painting, writing and award-winning filmmaking. Stacy received her Master of Fine Arts in New York from the School of Visual Arts, and her photos have been exhibited in cities as diverse as Fort Worth, New York, Vancouver & Berlin. A tenacious perfectionist, every photo that Stacy created was a true reflection of her spirit, her art and her soul. She was just completing this large and powerful body of work when she passed away suddenly at 39, perhaps at an age when she was coming into her own or maybe feeling just past her prime.
Stacy was always searching for new ways to marry her photography with painting. During her switch from film based photography to digital, the opportunity to transfer her painterly techniques was possible. Excited about the new digital medium, she enlisted the help of a Vancouver techy and together they built a custom 8″x10″ digital camera. With this advanced technology, Stacy applied her creative talents to photographing flowers…lots of flowers! Stacy’s flowers where often gifts from neighboring gardeners and florists who appreciated her belief that each flower had its own unique expression and personality.
Stacy originally launched her first series of works with her Fidelis Art Prints in Vancouver. All prints are archival ink on canvas and Fidelis remains the exclusive printer for this remarkable series so there is no question about a compromise in the exacting standards that Stacy held for her work.
We offer this show and continuing series through Stacy’s website as a way to continue what Stacy started so that we may share her work not only as gift to the public but as a tribute to Stacy so that she may live on through her work.

Witness
Susannah Blanton/Leashya Padma Munyon

- Artists Susannah Blanton and Leashya Padma-Munyon present a carefully juxtaposed exploration of their contrasting views of childhood mayhem – one a horrifying truth masked by faith, the other role-playing horror in order to mask the mundane, and both complicated by the limits of memory and time.
Opening Reception Saturday October 2, 7-10PM through Sunday October 31st.
Gallery Hours Sat/Sun 1-5PM or by appointment
Definition of Space: Chris White
This new series of paintings explores the structure and containment of color through the use of squares and rectangles. Within these arrangements, a graceful relationship between balance and equality can be seen throughout the work. Using mainly encaustic and house paint, the pieces are both powerful and tranquil.
